Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 August 2026
CrewLingo LLC operates CrewLingo, a service that replies by text message when a small business misses a phone call. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
It's written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email getcrewlingo@gmail.com and we'll explain it.
Who this covers
Two different groups of people, with different information:
Business owners who sign up
- Phone number, business name, and owner name
- Billing details, which are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store a card number
- The customer records you enter yourself: names, phone numbers, addresses, and any notes you add
People who call or text a CrewLingo business
- The phone number that called or texted
- The time of the call, and whether it was answered
- The content of text messages exchanged with that business
- Any photos sent by text
- Whether the caller asked to read in Spanish
Why we hold it
Only to run the service:
- To send a reply when a call is missed
- To show the business owner their own conversations
- To translate messages so each person reads in their own language
- To take payment for the subscription
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use message content to advertise anything to anyone.
Who else handles it
Running this service means some information passes through other companies. These are all of them:
- Twilio — carries the calls and text messages. Message content and phone numbers pass through Twilio in order to be delivered.
- Anthropic — translates message text between English and Spanish. The text of a message is sent for translation. Anthropic does not use it to train models.
- Railway — hosts the service and stores the database in the United States.
- Netlify — serves the website and the app.
- Stripe — handles subscription payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us.
How long we keep it
- Messages and customer records — for as long as the business has an account, and for a short period afterwards in case they come back or ask for a copy.
- Photos sent by text — deleted automatically after one year.
- Login codes — expire within minutes.
- Sign-in sessions — expire after 90 days.
What you can ask for
Whoever you are, you can email getcrewlingo@gmail.com and ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Send you a copy of it
- Correct it
- Delete it
If you're a business owner, your customer list is yours. Ask at any time, during or after your subscription, and we'll send you everything — your customers, their numbers, and your message history.
We'll respond within 30 days, and usually much faster.
Stopping texts
Reply STOP to any message and that number will not be texted again. HELP returns contact information. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan.
Security
Data is stored in the United States and sent over encrypted connections. Signing in uses a code texted to your phone rather than a password. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but we don't hold card numbers, and we don't keep anything we don't need.
Children
CrewLingo is for businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and update the date at the top.

Terms of Service
Last updated 13 September 2026
What the service does
CrewLingo sends an automatic text message when a call to your business goes unanswered, and lets you reply from a web app. Messages are translated between English and Spanish.
It does not answer the phone, book jobs on your behalf, or send anything without a call or message coming in first.
What it costs
$29 per month for your first three months, then $49 per month, after a 7-day free trial. Your card is required to start the trial and is charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any time from Settings in the app — cancelling stops the next charge, and the service runs until the end of the period you've paid for.
We don't give partial refunds for time already used, but if something has gone wrong, email us and we'll sort it out.
Your responsibilities
- Use it for your own business, with people who contact you
- Don't use it to send marketing, bulk messages, or anything to people who haven't contacted you first — this breaks carrier rules and would get the service shut down for everyone
- Keep the auto-text honest. You can edit its wording; you can't use it to say something untrue
- Follow the law where you operate
What we're responsible for
We'll do our best to keep the service running and to fix things quickly when they break. But this depends on phone carriers, Twilio, and the internet, and none of those are ours to guarantee.
We can't promise every text will be delivered, or delivered instantly. Carriers filter messages for reasons outside our control.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the previous three months.
Your data
Your customer list and your message history are yours. Ask any time and we'll send you a copy. If you cancel, we won't hold your business over your head — ask and it's yours.
Ending it
You can cancel at any time. We can suspend an account that's being used to send unsolicited messages or to break carrier rules, because that puts every other customer at risk — we'll tell you why if we do.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll update this page and the date. If you keep using the service afterwards, that's acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
